New Creek Visits The Burn Building!
Sat. Aug 14th 2010
Members of the New Creek VFD were fortunate enough to schedule a training day at the Dominion Virginia Power - Mt Storm Power Plant. The live burn facility was used to conduct search and rescue, ventilation, and firefighting drills. Some of the departments "greener" members were able to participate in live fire evolutions, but not before they were able to see and feel how fire acts. For some of the more experienced firefighters, more advanced drills were conducted. After the training evolutions, members and their families were able to relax at the power stations recreation facility on the lake. Good food and great times were held by all.
